Yesterday evening, Iran launched an attack against Israel, using more than 200 drones and missiles. The attack mainly utilized "Shahed-136" type kamikaze drones, which fly very low, and hitting them with conventional air defense systems is problematic, even with Israel's most advanced "Iron Dome" system.

Neutralizing such targets is more effectively done with air-to-air assets, i.e., fighter jets. Israel does not have enough fighter jets to simultaneously hit such a large number of targets. Its allies, the US and the UK, came to its aid, neutralizing most of the drones in the skies over Jordan and Syria.

Our ally Russia, it turns out, had even turned off the radars during the 44-day war, which our forces were supposed to operate to protect our airspace.
